Hunan Provincial Casting and Forging Product Quality Inspection Center Boosts the Development of "Jiangnan Casting Capital"

　　China Forging Talent Network News: At the Hunan Province Casting and Forging Product Quality Supervision & Testing Center, staff members were observed conducting product inspections. It is reported that since its launch in 2015, the center has carried out over 600 batches of product testing for more than 50 enterprises.

　　The Hunan Provincial Casting and Forging Products Quality Inspection Center is a public service platform for industrial development jointly established by the Jiahe County Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision and the Jiahe County Economic Development Zone. Located within the premises of the Jiahe County Economic Development Zone, the center boasts a laboratory space of 2,222 square meters, equipped with cutting-edge, internationally advanced casting and forging-specific testing equipment—as well as industry-leading professional simulation software—making it the only comprehensive inspection and service center for casting and forging products in Hunan Province and a nationally recognized leader in the field.

　　The Cast & Forged Products Quality Inspection Center has imported internationally advanced equipment, including a state-of-the-art German white-light scanner, a Japanese optoelectronic direct-reading spectrometer, and a U.S.-made coating thickness gauge. Additionally, the center has acquired cutting-edge domestic technologies such as the Shanghai CaiKang fully automatic metallographic microscope, the Nanjing Nuojin computerized multi-element analyzer, the comprehensive mechanical testing equipment from Jinan Zhongzheng, and the complete set of molding sand testing systems provided by Jiangsu Spet. The center is equipped with specialized inspection labs dedicated to mechanics testing, spectral analysis, chemical analysis, molding sand evaluation, and non-destructive testing. Currently, the team comprises 13 full-time employees, along with 3 experienced analytical operators holding mid-to-senior-level inspection certifications. Together, they offer comprehensive testing and inspection services tailored to cast and forged products—including assessments of mechanical properties, chemical composition, metallographic structures, internal and external defects, surface quality, low-temperature pressure tests, as well as detailed analyses of raw materials and auxiliary materials used in casting and forging processes. Through these services, the center provides objective, impartial, and authoritative product quality certifications, accurately identifying and characterizing any defects in the quality of cast and forged goods.

　　The Casting and Forging Products Research Center has imported world-class U.S.-made casting simulation software and advanced, rapid on-site testing equipment. Leveraging cutting-edge expertise combined with practical insights, the center develops targeted solutions and operational protocols tailored to specific challenges. It also offers services such as designing new casting and forging products, optimizing manufacturing processes, and supporting pilot projects for scientific research initiatives at universities and colleges. By focusing on these efforts, the center is driving improvements in product quality, fostering management innovation, and enabling a strategic upgrade of the local industry for Jiahe’s casting and forging enterprises.
