3 When lifting any workpiece, always perform a test lift first. Ensure the hook remains vertical, and if you notice any imbalance, adjust the hook immediately. Never lift at an angle—instead, retest the lift until the workpiece is perfectly balanced before proceeding with the actual hoisting.
