Technical Specifications for Inspection of Hoisting Machinery Drums and Pulleys

1 The height of the edges on both sides of the drum should extend beyond the outermost layer of the steel cable, and this value must not be less than the diameter of the steel cable. 2 Twice ;

3 • The pulley grooves should be smooth and free of defects that could damage the wire rope. ;

5 "· The drum and pulley should be scrapped if any of the following conditions occur:

1) Crack or rim damage ;

2) The wear on the drum wall has reached of the original wall thickness. 10%;

3) Uneven wear of the pulley groove reaches 3mm;

4) The wear amount of the pulley groove wall thickness has reached the original wall thickness. 20%;

5) The wear on the bottom of the pulley groove exceeds the corresponding wire rope diameter. 25%;

6) Other defects that can damage wire ropes.
