With the advancement of industry, the crane sector has rapidly expanded, finding widespread applications in indoor and outdoor settings, factories, power plants, warehouses, ports, and countless other industries. Precisely because of this broad reach, ensuring crane operation safety—especially preventing electric shocks—has become critically important. Although cranes are equipped with built-in safety devices designed to protect against electric shocks, improper handling by crane operators can still pose significant risks. So, what precautions should be taken to avoid electric shocks? First, maintain a safe distance: When operating, the crane’s boom, lifting attachments, wire ropes, and suspended loads must keep a minimum clearance from live electrical lines as specified by relevant construction electrical standards (for voltages below 1 kV, the minimum clearance is [details to follow]).

In recent years, several international experts have pointed out that material handling engineering technology is one of the weakest and most urgently in need of improvement areas in modern industry—yet it’s also one of the fields with the greatest potential and brightest prospects for future development. They’ve introduced the concept of material handling technology as the "third profit source." Material handling machinery typically encompasses six major product categories: lifting equipment, conveying systems, loading and unloading machinery, warehousing equipment, industrial handling vehicles, and hydraulic machinery. In China, material handling machinery is commonly referred to as lifting and transportation machinery. Notably, lifting equipment stands out as the dominant category within this sector due to its wide variety, powerful functionality, and critical role in material handling—and it was also among the earliest applications of weighing technology.
I. Pre-Operation Preparations: 1.1 Operators must undergo training by the workshop safety officer and pass the assessment before being authorized to operate. 1.2 Before use, carefully inspect all components, including the secure installation of lifting points, the condition of hooks, anti-slip devices, chain links, control handles, wire ropes, wire rope clips, and other protective mechanisms. Only proceed with operation if everything is confirmed to be intact and functional. II. Operation Procedure: 2.1 Plug in the power supply and turn on the control power. 2.2 Perform a test run of the crane before lifting any heavy objects. III. Operational Guidelines and Safety Precautions During Equipment Operation: 3.1 Never exceed the crane’s specified load capacity when lifting heavy objects. 3.2 Absolutely avoid operating the crane while:
Fixed tower cranes (commonly referred to as tower cranes) are equipment that can easily lead to serious safety accidents—particularly when they tip over or collapse. Such incidents not only risk causing mass casualties and injuries but also result in significant financial losses due to the crane's substantial value being destroyed. The state maintains extremely strict safety regulations for tower cranes, mandating that construction commission safety supervision departments oversee every stage of the process, including qualification checks for installation and dismantling as well as inspection procedures. Additionally, only certified testing organizations are authorized to conduct technical evaluations of the cranes, while supervisors are required to review and personally sign off on the installation and dismantling processes, taking full responsibility for their oversight.
The crane is primarily composed of several key components: the bridge structure, trolley, hoist mechanism for large-scale movement, electrical system, and operator cabin (though for ground-level operation, an operator cabin isn’t required). It comes in 12 different lifting capacities: 5 tons, 8 tons, 10 tons, 12.5 tons, 16 tons, 20 tons, 25 tons, 32 tons, 40 tons, 50 tons, 63 tons, and 80 tons. If users require a different lifting capacity, custom orders are available. The crane spans from 7.5 meters to 31.5 meters and operates within a temperature range of -25°C to +40°C. Designed for medium-duty applications, this versatile crane not only ensures exceptional safety and features ergonomic design for user comfort but also enables quick, efficient material handling—while maintaining a compact footprint.
Bridge cranes are widely used in various industrial plants, workshops, warehouses, and more. Driven by continuous market demand, they are constantly being improved and developed—especially the European-style cranes that have gained popularity in recent years, earning affection from people across different industries. But what exactly sets European-style cranes apart? Simply put, they represent a mid-to-high-end category of bridge and gantry cranes. Interestingly, there’s no specific "European-style crane" term in professional terminology; rather, this term was coined by domestic crane users who identified key features of China-made cranes while integrating advanced European technologies. Drawing on China’s unique operational needs, these users formulated clear market requirements, effectively redefining what constitutes a mid-to-high-end bridge or gantry crane.
